Farmers are those whose occupation is
farming. India’s economy is agriculture based. Its eighty percent population
lives in villages and does farming. Thus the majority of the Indians are farmers.
Indian farmers lead a very simple life. They are educationally, socially, and
economically backward, most of the are illiterate. Illiteracy is a great hurdle
to their prosperity. They are unaware of the modern reserches made in the
agriculture. They used the traditional method and equipment of farming. They do
not produce as much as they should. All this results in their economy
backwardness.
